Today, I was looking at my web site’s log statistics, just to see if anything weird was happening. I discovered that a bunch of people from Nexopia were linking to a picture of my ex-car with its ignition ripped out. I didn’t think the picture was that interesting, but you never know. (The image belongs with Dave’s Interesting Stolen Car Adventure.)
Because I don’t particularly like having people hotlink to my images, I’ve renamed the image, and I’ve uploaded a zero-length file in its place so that accesses don’t generate errors.
The offending hotlinkers are lucky: the traditional punishment for hotlinking is to replace the image with an image of tubgirl or goatse. (The link goes to the Wikipedia entry for these images, not the images themselves!)
